Our Story
Oaklands Butchery has been a local butchery in the Houghton (Johannesburg) area for over 50 years. Established in 1969, we have built a strong reputation as a local butcher, supplying excellent quality meats to households and restaurants.
Our friendly staff are on hand to assist and offer you our expertise on all your meat preparation and cooking requirements. And we are happy to help with recipe ideas for your meals.
At Oaklands Butchery we set ourselves apart with a wide range of speciality quality meats and poultry. This includes free-range and grass-fed Wagyu beef, a variety of cuts of veal and venison, and plenty more.
We stock a large variety of Italian delicacies, both local and imported, such as Salciccia and Luganiga as well as Salamies, Parma Hams and Mortadella. Our cold meats included homemade Pastrami, Pickled Brisket and Carpaccio, Beef Salami, Bresaola and Smoked Chicken to name a few.
